What will I actually do each week?
Each role is a little different, but all volunteers help keep their assigned WhatsApp communities safe, helpful, and aligned with our guidelines. You might be reviewing join requests, flagging spam, sharing updates, or helping conversations stay respectful — all with tools and templates provided.

How much time does it take?
Our roles are designed to be light-touch and flexible. Most volunteers check in for 10–15 minutes a day, 4–5 days a week but there's no set schedule. For e.g. some mods are in the habit of checking notifcations every evening, some prefer first thing in the morning... at the end of the day, there's no 'correct time', what matters most is consistency.

Instead, you’ll join a private moderator group where we: • Share global job opportunities for animal carers • Keep you updated on what's happening in our hubs and with the company globally • Offer a space to ask questions and connect with the core team and other fellow mods

Do I need to be an expert on animals or community guidelines?
Not at all. We’ll guide you through everything during onboarding, no prior pet care or moderation experience needed.

Absolutely. You’ll get 1:1 onboarding, access to our full moderation guide, and direct support via group chat whenever you need help.

Do I have to use my real WhatsApp number?
Yes — all our hubs run through WhatsApp, so we do need a real mobile number. But we’ll show you how to adjust your settings to protect your privacy (like hiding your profile photo or limiting who can add you to groups).

Each term lasts for 3 months. You’re welcome to reapply, extend, or explore a different role after your term ends.
