If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site. These Terms govern your use of Pet Care Hubs’ website and services, including any content, functionality, and features offered on or through the Site. They apply to all visitors and users, whether you are browsing anonymously or using our services as a business or individual.
Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data and cookies. By using our Site, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to our Privacy Policy and data practices. We are committed to a community-friendly, transparent approach, so we’ve written these Terms in plain English. If you have any questions about them, feel free to contact us.Who We Are (About Pet Care Hubs and Collars)
Pet Care Hubs is a digital platform designed to connect pet owners and pet care providers across the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA), building local pet care communities in various cities. We help users discover trusted local pet care services, community events and professional resources, all in one place. Pet Care Hubs is operated by Collars Inc. Ltd (“Collars”), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15321430) with its office at Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6EB, UK. In these Terms, “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to Collars Inc. Ltd (the owner of Pet Care Hubs), and “you” or “user” refers to any person accessing our Site. Pet Care Hubs is a trademark of Collars Inc. Ltd. As a company based in the UK, we abide by UK laws and applicable EU laws in operating this platform. Our mission is to foster a friendly and useful community for pet lovers and pet care businesses. We value transparency and community trust, and these Terms reflect that ethos.Scope of Website Use

Your privacy is important to us. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU GDPR in how we collect and use personal data. This section summarizes how we handle your information on the Site, but for full details please refer to our Privacy Policy.
.
Personal Data Collection: You can generally browse our Site without providing personal information. If you do not fill out any forms or sign up for services, we do not collect any personally identifying information about you, apart from some technical data collected via cookies/analytics (see Section 5). However, we do collect personal data when you choose to interact with certain features:Newsletter Sign-Up: If you subscribe to our mailing list or newsletter, we will collect your email address (and possibly your name) to send you updates. For example, when you sign up on our site, you’ll see a notice that by subscribing you agree to receive updates from Pet Care Hubs and that your data will be handled securely in line with our Privacy Policy. We will use your email to send you news and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Contact Forms and Inquiries: If you fill out a contact form on our Site or reach out to us (for instance, via the “Contact Us” page), we will collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this data solely to respond to your inquiry or request. Similarly, if there are surveys or feedback forms, we will collect whatever information you choose to give us. This may include your feedback and, if you provide it, your name or contact details. We treat your submission of any form as consent to use your data for the purpose stated (e.g. responding to you or improving our services).
Careers Page (Job Applications): If you apply for a job with us through our Careers page, we will collect personal details such as your name, email, phone number, and any information you submit in your application (for example, your CV/résumé, cover letter, and qualifications). We use this information to process and evaluate your application and to communicate with you about the recruitment process. The lawful basis for processing this data is to take steps at your request prior to potentially entering into a contract of employment (and we may also be legally required to retain certain records for employment law reasons).
We ensure that for each type of personal data we collect, we have a valid legal basis under GDPR/UK GDPR. Generally, the bases we rely on are: your consent (e.g. you gave us your email for a newsletter, or you filled out a form voluntarily), performance of a contract or pre-contract (e.g. processing a job application you submitted), legal obligation (where we need to comply with law), or legitimate interests (e.g. improving our services or ensuring IT security, balanced against your rights). We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected, as described above, and we will not use it in a way that is incompatible with those purposes.
Data Security and Sharing: Pet Care Hubs (Collars Inc. Ltd) treats your personal information with care and confidentiality. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing. We may share your information with trusted service providers (data processors) that help us operate the Site (for example, our website hosting company, email newsletter service, or analytics provider), but they only process your data on our instructions and for our purposes . They are obligated to keep it secure. For instance, we use third-party analytics services to understand how the Site is used, and those providers process usage data on our behalf. Any data you submit may also be handled by third-party tools we use to manage forms or communications, but again, solely under our direction and in line with privacy laws.
In certain cases, we may need to disclose personal data if required by law or to protect rights and safety – for example, complying with a court order or government request, or enforcing our Terms and investigating fraud. We will only disclose the minimum information necessary and always in accordance with applicable laws.GDPR Rights: As a user in the UK or EEA, you have rights over your personal data. These include the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it if it’s wrong, to delete it, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time (for example, you can unsubscribe from our emails easily, as indicated in each newsletter or by contacting us, and we will remove you from the mailing list). Exercising your rights will not cost you anything. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how to exercise these rights and our contact information for privacy matters.
By using the Site and providing personal data through the above means, you agree that we may collect and use your information as described, in compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws. If you want to know more about how we handle data, including international data transfers and retention periods, please see our Privacy Policy (which is available on our Site’s “Privacy Policy” page). If at any point you have concerns about your personal data, you can contact us at the email or address provided in the Privacy Policy, and we will be happy to help. We take privacy seriously and aim to protect your data and use it only in fair and transparent ways.
Cookies and Analytics Tools
Like many websites, Pet Care Hubs uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and gather information about how our Site is used. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, etc.) when you visit a website. We use them for several reasons, and we want to be transparent about how and why.Types of Cookies We Use:
Necessary Cookies: These are essential cookies that enable core functionality of the Site – for example, helping pages load correctly, allowing you to navigate the Site, and remembering things like your cookie preferences. Without these, the Site might not function properly.
Analytics/Performance Cookies: We use these to collect information about how visitors use our Site, such as which pages are most frequently visited, how users move around the Site, and if any errors occur. This information is collected in an aggregated and anonymous form – it does not identify you personally. It helps us understand user behavior and improve our website’s performance and content over time.
Functionality Cookies: If our Site offers certain interactive features (for example, remembering your preferences, language selection, or entries you’ve made in forms), functionality cookies may remember those choices to give you a more personalized experience. For instance, if you select your city or choose a language on the Site, a cookie might save that so you don’t have to re-select it on your next visit.
(At present, we do not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing cookies on Pet Care Hubs, and we do not serve third-party ads on the Site. If this ever changes, we will update our cookie practices and obtain any necessary consents.)
Third-Party Analytics Tools: Pet Care Hubs integrates third-party analytics services to help us understand website traffic and usage. The primary analytics tool we use is Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses its own cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the Google Analytics cookies about your use of our Site – such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time you spend – will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers which may be outside your country. Google provides this data to us in aggregated reports, which we use to gauge things like how many people visit a page or what content is most popular. Importantly, we have configured Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly way: we do not receive personally identifying information through these analytics, and we use the data purely to improve the Site’s content and user experience. We also treat analytics data as per our Privacy Policy and under GDPR’s scope. For instance, IP addresses collected by analytics are considered personal data under EU law; Google Analytics anonymizes IP addresses by default in many regions, and we rely on legitimate interest to analyze Site usage in a way that does not harm your privacy. Rest assured, analytics data is not used to identify you or to target you personally – it’s used in aggregate to make Pet Care Hubs better.
Cookie Consent: When you first visit our Site, you will see a cookie consent banner. We ask for your consent to use any non-essential cookies, such as analytics cookies. You have the right to accept or reject these. If you prefer not to be tracked by analytics, you can choose to decline the analytics cookies via the banner or by adjusting your cookie settings (there is a “Cookie Settings” link on our Site where you can manage your preferences at any time). If you opt out of certain cookies, that’s okay – you will still be able to use the Site, though some features may not remember your preferences, and certain parts of the Site might not work as intended without cookies. Essential cookies (those needed to make the Site work) are used based on our legitimate interest in providing a functioning website and are not optional, but they do not collect personal data for marketing.
Managing Cookies: In addition to our on-site controls, you can manage or delete cookies through your web browser settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to block cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. You can usually find these settings in the “Options” or “Preferences” menu of your browser. Keep in mind, if you disable all cookies (including essential ones) via your browser, some parts of our Site may become inaccessible or not operate correctly. For more information about cookies and how to control them, websites like AllAboutCookies.org provide useful guidance.
By using our Site with your browser set to accept cookies (and by clicking “Accept” on our cookie banner when it’s displayed), you consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies as described here. If you change your mind, you can always adjust your cookie settings or clear cookies from your browser. For further details on specific cookies we use and their purposes, please see the Cookies section in our Privacy Policy. We aim to be transparent and give you control over your data, so if you have any questions about our use of cookies or analytics, feel free to reach out to us.
Paid Services (Broadcast Packs)
Pet Care Hubs offers certain paid services for pet care businesses, notably our “Broadcast Packs.” Broadcast Packs are an optional, paid feature that allow pet-friendly businesses or organizations to promote their services, deals, or announcements to the Pet Care Hubs community through our platform. This section explains the terms that apply when you purchase or use a Broadcast Pack. What Broadcast Packs Are: A Broadcast Pack is essentially an advertising or sponsorship package. It enables a business to “broadcast” a message or offer within a specific local pet hub or across the Pet Care Hubs platform, reaching our engaged pet owner audience. For example, a local pet groomer or veterinary clinic might purchase a Broadcast Pack to share a special discount or an event with users in their city’s hub. As noted elsewhere on our Site, if you’re looking to advertise within a particular hub, securing a Broadcast Pack is the way to do it. We offer Broadcast Packs as part of our partnerships and sponsorship opportunities for businesses
Who Can Purchase: Broadcast Packs are intended for business users – such as pet care service providers, pet product companies, shelters, or other organizations – rather than individual hobbyists. When purchasing a Broadcast Pack, you represent that you are doing so in the course of your business or profession (and not as a private consumer for personal use). You also confirm that you are authorized to act on behalf of the business (for example, you are the owner or an employee with permission) to arrange this purchase.
How to Purchase: To buy a Broadcast Pack, you may need to fill out a form or contact us through the Site’s partnership section. We use an online checkout service provided by Stripe which generates an automated invoice. Payment details (such as price, payment method, and duration of the Pack) will be provided during the purchase process. By placing an order for a Broadcast Pack, you agree to pay the advertised fees and abide by any payment terms presented to you (for instance, deadlines or package terms where applicable).
Content and Approval: When you use a Broadcast Pack, you will submit the content you want to broadcast – such as text, images, links, and any specific messaging about your offer or announcement. All Broadcast Pack content is subject to our review and approval. Pet Care Hubs maintains a quality and community standard, so we need to ensure that promotional content is appropriate, relevant to pet care, and compliant with these Terms and our policies. We reserve the right to reject, require modifications to, or remove any broadcast content that we determine (in our reasonable discretion) violates these Terms, is offensive or misleading, or could harm our community’s trust. For example, as mentioned above, only approved broadcast deals or promotions can be shared on our platform – this means you cannot bypass our review by posting ads elsewhere on the Site. By using a Broadcast Pack, you agree to cooperate in good faith with any content review. We will work with you to make any necessary adjustments so that your message can be broadcasted successfully.
Your Responsibilities (Business Users): You are responsible for the content you provide to us for broadcasting. This means you must ensure that: (a) you have all necessary rights and permissions to the content (including any images or trademarks – you either own them or have a license to use them); (b) the content is truthful and not misleading or deceptive; and (c) the content complies with all applicable laws and advertising regulations (for example, any claims about your product/service are substantiated, prices or promotions are accurate, and you follow any industry-specific rules). You also warrant that your broadcast content will not contain any material that is offensive, inappropriate, or that infringes on the rights of others (such as copyrights, trademarks, privacy, etc.).
When you submit content for a Broadcast Pack, you grant Pet Care Hubs (Collars Inc. Ltd) a license to use, reproduce, and display that content on our platform and related communication channels for the purpose of fulfilling the Broadcast Pack service. This license is non-exclusive and limited to the scope of promoting your content as agreed (we’re not taking ownership of your material; we’re just getting permission to share it with our users as requested). We will only use your content in connection with the Pet Care Hubs platform and in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Provision of Service: Once approved, we will schedule and publish your broadcast content to the agreed audience (for example, posting in a local hub, including it in a newsletter, or sharing via our WhatsApp news channel, depending on the package). We will make reasonable efforts to deliver the service as described and at the timing agreed. However, we do not guarantee any particular outcome from a Broadcast Pack – for instance, we cannot guarantee how many users will respond to your promotion or that you will achieve any specific results. The reach and engagement can vary based on the content and audience interest. We provide the platform and exposure, but the effectiveness of any advertisement also depends on factors outside our control (such as user needs and market conditions).
Fees and Refunds: Broadcast Packs are provided as a paid service, and the fees will be made clear to you before you commit. All fees are quoted in the indicated currency and are typically exclusive of any applicable taxes (if VAT or other taxes apply, we will inform you). Payment must be made via the method we support (e.g., credit card, bank transfer, etc.) and within the timeframe specified. If payment is not received or is reversed (for example, a chargeback), we may not proceed with or may discontinue the Broadcast Pack service.Generally, fees for Broadcast Packs are non-refundable once the service has been partially or fully delivered. If you cancel after we’ve begun performing the service (e.g., after your content has been scheduled or sent out), we usually cannot offer a refund because work has been done and the value delivered. However, if we fail to deliver the service as agreed (for example, due to a fault on our end) or if you are unsatisfied for a valid reason, please contact us – we will review issues on a case-by-case basis and do our best to resolve them fairly. We want our partners to be happy, and we aim to be reasonable in resolving any problems. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory refund rights that might apply.
Misuse of Broadcast Packs: Using a Broadcast Pack does not entitle you to bypass the community rules. Business users must still adhere to the spirit of our community guidelines. Do not misuse the broadcast privilege by attempting to insert hidden content, malicious links, or content that was not approved. If a business seriously or repeatedly violates the terms of using Broadcast Packs (for example, by submitting prohibited content or spamming users in other ways), we may revoke their ability to use this service and may refuse future purchases, in order to protect our community.
In summary, Broadcast Packs are a way for us to support pet care businesses while also providing value to our community members through relevant offers and information. We ask businesses to collaborate with us in keeping the quality high. If you’re a business user with any questions about Broadcast Packs or the terms around them, please get in touch – we’re here to help you get the most out of the platform in a way that benefits everyone.Intellectual Property
Our Content: Unless otherwise stated, Pet Care Hubs and Collars Inc. Ltd own all the intellectual property rights in and to the Site and its content. This includes (but is not limited to) the text, images, photographs, graphics, logos, design, layout and artwork on the Site, as well as the Pet Care Hubs name and logo. All such content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. Pet Care Hubs is a trademark of Collars Inc. Ltd in the UK, and our logos and brand identity are protected as such.We want you to enjoy our content, but it’s important to note that your use of the Site does not give you any ownership of our intellectual property. You are welcome to read, view, and make personal use of the materials on Pet Care Hubs, but you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express prior written permission. In plain terms: feel free to share a link to our articles or tell your friends about us, but please don’t scrape our content, republish our text or images as your own, or use our logos without authorization.
Permitted Personal Use: You may print or download content from the Site for your own personal and non-commercial use only, such as printing a pet care article for easy reference. Any copies of content you make must retain any attribution, copyright, or trademark notices as they appear on the Site. This personal use allowance does not mean you can repost our content elsewhere. For any other use (for example, using our material in a blog post of yours, or in any commercial context), you must obtain permission from us first. Nothing on the Site should be interpreted as granting any license or right to use any of our intellectual property without explicit consent.
User-Generated Content: Pet Care Hubs may, from time to time, allow users to contribute content – for example, posting a comment, submitting a “Pet of the Week” entry, providing testimonials, or participating in community forums or WhatsApp groups. If you submit any content to our Site or through our community channels, you retain ownership of your content, but you also grant us a limited license to use, display, reproduce, and share your content as needed to provide our services. For instance, if you submit a photo and story of your pet for a contest, you agree that we can display that photo and story on our Site and social media to showcase the contest results. We will always handle user content respectfully and in line with our Privacy Policy.By submitting content, you promise that you have the right to share that content and that it does not infringe on anyone else’s rights or violate any laws. This means the content is originally yours (you wrote it or took the picture, etc., or you have permission from the creator), and that posting it on our Site will not, for example, breach copyright, trademark, privacy, or data protection laws. You also agree not to upload anything that’s inappropriate (illegal, obscene, hateful, etc., as covered in Section 3). We do not pre-screen all user content, but we reserve the right to remove any content that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
No Use of Our Marks: The name “Pet Care Hubs”, “Collars Inc. Ltd”, and all related names, logos, product and service names are our trademarks or the trademarks of our affiliates or partners. You are not permitted to use those trademarks without our prior written approval. Specifically, you cannot use our trademarks in a manner that confuses others or implies any endorsement or partnership without authorization.
If you want to mention Pet Care Hubs or Collars in something (for example, in a news article or blog), you may use our name to refer to us (nominal use), but please do so in a way that is fair and accurate. If you need our logo or other assets for an approved purpose, contact us for brand guidelines and permission.Intellectual Property of Others: We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe that any content on our Site infringes your copyright or other IP rights, please notify us with specifics, and we will investigate and address the issue (for example, by removing or disabling access to the infringing material, as appropriate). We comply with applicable IP laws and have procedures for handling such claims.
In summary, please enjoy the content and features of Pet Care Hubs for your personal use, but remember that the creative works on this Site are the result of effort by us and our partners. Treat them as you would any creator’s work: don’t steal or misuse them. If in doubt about whether a certain use is allowed, just ask us – we’re friendly and open to collaboration in ways that spread the love for pets without compromising our rights.External Links and Third-Party Content
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Pet Care Hubs (Collars Inc. Ltd). For example, we might link to a partner’s website, a useful resource, an event page, or a social media platform. We might also integrate content from third parties, such as an embedded map for event locations, a YouTube video, or a social media feed. These links and content are provided for your convenience and to enhance your experience or provide additional information. However, please note that when you access third-party content or leave our Site via a link, these Terms (and our Privacy Policy) no longer govern that external site or service. The third-party’s own terms and policies will apply. Pet Care Hubs does not have control over the content, security, or practices of third-party websites. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party content, advertising, products, or materials available on or through those sites. For example, if we link to a pet supply store’s site, it doesn’t mean we vouch for every product they sell or every word on their site; it’s simply a reference for your benefit.
Therefore, you access any third-party websites or content at your own risk. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Site and to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any external sites you visit. Pet Care Hubs will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of third-party websites or resources. This includes any issues like those sites not working properly, having inaccurate information, or handling your data in ways you didn’t expect.
For clarity: if you click a link on Pet Care Hubs that leads you to an external page (for example, a partner’s signup form, a news article, or a WhatsApp channel), any interaction you have on that external page is between you and that third party. We are not responsible for the content on external sites or for any consequences of visiting those sites. If an external link is broken or the content seems problematic, you can inform us, and we may decide to remove or update the link, but we may not always be monitoring all external content.
Also, inclusion of a link on our Site does not imply endorsement. We might mention or link to a product, service, or organization for informational purposes, but unless we explicitly state so, it doesn’t mean we officially recommend or certify it. The presence of third-party trademarks or logos on our Site (for instance, in an image or as part of a partnership announcement) is typically used with permission or under fair use, and it doesn’t indicate that those third parties endorse Pet Care Hubs or vice versa. In short, while we strive to provide helpful external resources and work with reputable partners, once you go to a third-party site, you should treat it with the same caution as any other site on the internet. We just want you to have all the info – the fun pet world is broad, and we’ll guide you, but we can’t police everything outside our own website.
Liability and Disclaimers
This section is important as it limits the liability of Pet Care Hubs/Collars Inc. Ltd to you. We want to be as open as possible: we will always strive to run a high-quality service, but there are some things we cannot guarantee, and we need to protect ourselves from certain types of legal claims. That said, we are not trying to evade responsibility for things we are truly accountable for, and we’re certainly not trying to dodge the law – nothing in these Terms will exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded by law (more on that below)“As Is” Provision: Pet Care Hubs is provided to you on an “as is” and “as available” basis. This means that, while we put a lot of effort into maintaining accurate information and keeping the Site up and running, we cannot promise that the Site will be perfect. We make no warranty or representation that the Site will meet your needs, that access will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the information on the Site is complete, accurate, or up-to-date. For example, although we attempt to ensure all listings of pet services are current and all articles are accurate at the time of writing, we can’t guarantee that there will never be a typo, an outdated detail, or a temporary outage of the website.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, regarding the Site and any content or services provided through it. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, which are legal terms meaning: we are not guaranteeing that the Site is fit for your exact personal purpose or that it will function flawlessly with every technology setup, and we’re not guaranteeing that content will always be free of intellectual property issues (though we certainly strive for these things). In summary, we do not provide an iron-clad guarantee and you use the Site at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of Liability: Pet Care Hubs (Collars Inc. Ltd) will not be liable for any losses or damages that arise out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) our Site, except to the extent such losses are directly caused by us breaching these Terms in a way that is not lawfully excludable. In particular, we are not responsible for any of the following types of losses:Indirect or Consequential Losses: These are losses that are not directly caused by our actions, or that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time you accepted these Terms. For instance, if an event listing on our Site had a mistake and you missed the event, we’re not liable for your disappointment or any travel costs you incurred. Or if our Site is down for a day, and as a result you claim you lost business opportunities, such knock-on effects would be considered indirect losses which we do not cover.
Loss of profits or business (for business users): If you are using our Site in a professional or business capacity (e.g. a pet business listing or using Broadcast Packs), we will not be liable to you for loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunities. For example, if a Broadcast Pack advertisement doesn’t yield the results you hoped for, we can’t be responsible for lost expected revenue. We provide the platform but don’t guarantee a particular business outcome.
Damage to equipment or data: We try to keep our Site safe and free of bugs or viruses, but we cannot guarantee that use of the Site won’t have any effect on your computer or device. You should use your own virus protection software. We will not be liable for any loss or damage to your technology, devices, or data that might occur from downloading or using content from our Site, unless it’s due to our failure to exercise reasonable care (for instance, if we knowingly allowed malicious code to persist, which we would not do). Essentially, standard internet caution is advised.
Personal injury or property damage: We do not expect our Site to ever cause physical harm or property damage – it’s an informational digital service. But, hypothetically, if you followed advice from a community post and it turned out badly (e.g., you tried a DIY pet remedy that a user suggested and it didn’t work), we are not liable for the consequences. Always use common sense and, when in doubt, consult professionals for pet care advice. (This example underscores that user-posted content is not vetted professional advice from us.)
To put it plainly, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable or that falls into the categories listed above. The information and services on our Site are provided free of charge (except for specific paid features like Broadcast Packs, which have their own limited guarantees), and part of that arrangement is that you accept the Site “as-is” without heavy legal liability on us.
No Liability for User Content or Third Parties: We are also not liable for content posted by other users or third parties. If another user posts something misleading or offensive, or if a third-party link causes an issue, we are not legally responsible for those actions (though we do encourage you to report bad content so we can take action). We do not endorse user content and you should not assume it reflects our views. Any dealings you have with advertisers or other third parties found on our Site are between you and them, and we won’t be liable for any loss or claim you might have against those third parties.
Exceptions – What We Don’t Exclude: Now, very importantly, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for any matter that by law we cannot exclude. This includes: our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; our liability for our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and any breach of obligations implied by law that cannot be excluded (for example, in the UK, certain statutory consumer protections). For instance, if we somehow caused a safety issue that injured someone (even though it’s hard to imagine in a website context), we could not use these Terms to escape responsibility. Similarly, if we intentionally deceived you (which we wouldn’t), we couldn’t hide behind a liability waiver. So, please understand that these Terms are not trying to get around any mandatory legal protections – they are mainly clarifying the extent of responsibility in normal usage scenarios.
Consumer Rights: If you are using our Site as a consumer (for personal use, not business), you may have certain legal rights under consumer protection laws. These Terms are not intended to override rights you have under law. In the UK and EU, for example, you might have non-excludable rights regarding the quality and fitness of digital services. While our service is free (aside from optional paid features), we still aim to meet reasonable standards. If you ever feel something is seriously wrong or mis-described, let us know. Our disclaimers are simply to set reasonable expectations. They apply to the extent permitted by applicable law. If a court decides that a particular provision of this section (or any part of these Terms) is unenforceable, that provision will be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms will still hold.
Indemnity: We won’t dive deep into legal jargon here, but it’s common in terms to include an indemnification clause. In plain language, this means if you do something that causes us harm, and it’s a result of you violating these Terms or the law, you agree that you will compensate us for the damage or cost (including legal fees). For example, if you post content you don’t have rights to and it causes us to face a legal claim, you would be responsible for those losses. We are not looking to penalize anyone, but we need to protect ourselves in case someone’s misuse of our Site drags us into trouble. We hope never to invoke this, as we expect users will use the Site responsibly.
No Professional Advice: Also, please note that unless explicitly stated, content on our Site (such as pet care articles, community forum answers, or resources) is for informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice (veterinary, legal, or otherwise). Always consult qualified professionals for serious matters concerning your pet’s health or well-being. We strive to provide helpful and accurate information, but Pet Care Hubs is not a substitute for professional services, and we don’t accept liability for how you use information obtained from the Site.
In summary for this section: We give you our best, but we can’t be on the hook for everything. Use your best judgment, and understand that our liability to you is limited in line with common practices for online platforms. We care about our community and will do our utmost to maintain a great service, but we appreciate your understanding that certain risks (like how you use the site or interpret content) are beyond what we can control.
Amendments to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. As Pet Care Hubs grows and laws evolve, we want to ensure our Terms remain accurate and compliant. If we make changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top accordingly. For significant changes, we might also provide additional notice – for example, a banner on the Site, or an email notification if we have your email from a registration or subscription (though remember, we don’t generally require accounts just for browsing). However, we encourage you to review this Terms page periodically to stay informed of any updates. Continuing to use the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the Site.
We promise that we won’t drastically change these Terms without good reason. Typical reasons for updates might include: changes in our services or features, updates in the law (like new regulations we need to adhere to), or clarifications to our policies. If any change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will try to draw attention to it. Our goal is to remain transparent and fair.
If you have an account or subscription with us at the time of a change (for instance, if you’re a business that has purchased a Broadcast Pack or you’re on a mailing list), and you feel an update to the Terms is highly detrimental to you, please let us know. Often, legal changes won’t negatively impact users – they might even enhance your rights. But we’re open to discussing concerns.
Interim or Partial Invalidity: If we ever update these Terms and you’re in the middle of using a paid service (like an ongoing Broadcast Pack campaign), the version of the Terms that applied at the time of your purchase would typically govern that transaction, unless the new Terms are required to apply by law. We don’t intend to retroactively change rules on you unfairly.
In case any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the rest of the Terms will continue to apply. We would likely revise the offending part to make it enforceable while preserving the intent.
Finally, if we transfer our business or merge with another (for example, if Pet Care Hubs is ever acquired by another company), the new owners will still honor these Terms unless and until they are updated, and you’ll have the opportunity to review any new terms then.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of England and Wales (and, by extension, applicable UK law). We chose UK law because our company is based in the UK, and it provides a comprehensive legal framework for user protection and contract enforcement. If you are using the Site from within another country, you should also be aware that you must comply with any local laws applicable to you, but these Terms and any dispute arising from your use of the Site will in general be resolved under UK law.In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Pet Care Hubs website, we hope to resolve it amicably through discussion. You can always reach out to us to talk through any issue. However, if it cannot be resolved informally, then (unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law, as noted below) the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This means that if you wanted to bring a legal claim against us, or vice versa, it would likely be handled in an English or Welsh court.
Consumers in the EU/EEA: We recognize that if you are a consumer (not a business) located in the EEA, you may have the right to have certain disputes handled by the courts in your country of residence under European consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms seeks to take away any right you have under mandatory law to such protections. The reference to English law and courts is primarily to ensure a common legal basis, but it does not override any rights you may have (for example, to bring a claim in the courts of your home country under local consumer laws, if those laws say you can). We want to be clear: we do not intend to deprive EEA users of the protections afforded by the consumer laws of their own country.
Cross-Border Use: Pet Care Hubs is intended for users in the UK and Europe. We do not make any representation that the content or services on our Site are appropriate or available in other locations (such as the US, Asia, etc.). If you access the Site from outside the UK/EEA, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with any local laws. The governing law will still be England and Wales in any event, as far as the contractual terms are concerned.
Language: These Terms are written in English. If we provide translations in other languages for convenience, the English version will govern in case of any conflict or ambiguity in interpretation (unless prohibited by local law). We aim to use plain English to avoid confusion.
In summary, by using Pet Care Hubs, you are agreeing that any legal matters will be handled under UK law and, typically, in UK courts. We hope nothing ever gets to that stage – our focus is on providing a positive community experience. But we need to have this section in place just in case. If you have any concerns about how these Terms might affect you based on where you live, please reach out or seek legal advice. Our intention is to be fair and compliant with all applicable laws while having a predictable choice of law for our operations.
Thank you for taking the time to read these Terms and Conditions. We know it’s a lot of information, but we believe in being transparent and clear about the rules and your rights. By adhering to these Terms, you help us maintain a trustworthy and vibrant community for all pet lovers and pet care professionals. We value your participation in Pet Care Hubs and are excited to have you as part of our community.
