All applications are reviewed within 10 days. If you're shortlisted, we’ll invite you to a brief Google Meet call before onboarding begins.
Purpose of the role
Hub Guides play a key role in making each Pet Care Hub feel like a supportive, inclusive, and helpful space. Over your 3-month term, you’ll encourage engagement by sparking conversation, referencing helpful past posts, and welcoming new members.
But just as important: you’ll be one of the first to share observations and trends in our internal Moderator WhatsApp group. Hub Guides who reflect openly, consistently give weekly feedback, and help us stay in tune with the community's needs are often the ones we later invite to become Floater Mods.
You’ll also act as a backup moderator when needed, helping maintain a welcoming tone and flagging any issues that need to be logged or escalated.
Key responsibilities
Share Pet Care Hub reminders, events, or helpful resources
Spark or support at least one helpful conversation per week
Refer new pet professionals when needed
Monitor the group for spam, conflict, or off-topic posts
Remove violating content and log it in the Incident Register, if you’re the first to act
Share weekly feedback in the Mod Group Chat on what’s working, what’s changing or what members need

Warm, approachable communication style
Comfort using WhatsApp to reply, tag, and monitor conversations
Reliable follow-through — you check in a few times a week and follow up where needed
Curiosity and initiative — you’re happy to help others find events or links
Open to learning — you’re comfortable using tools like Google Sheets or Notion with support
Nice to Have — these aren’t required, but they help you hit the ground running:
Experience with peer support, moderation, or online communities
Background in customer service or volunteering
Confidence guiding group discussion or sharing publicly
Familiarity with platforms like Instagram or Facebook
Basic Google Sheets or Notion familiarity
A passion for community-building, especially for people and pets
Perks & Benefits
£15 thank you gift voucher
Option to move into a Floater Mod role after your term

24/7 team support and built-in onboarding process
